Informative Seminar European E-Competence Framework for the ICT Sector

Given the growing importance of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the context of the Global Economy and the enormous potential of this sector , there is a need for a common framework that enables ICT Professionals to describe and develop their capabilities and which allows companies and employers to identify which individuals who possess the competences they require.

The European e-Competence Framework (e-CF) is a reference framework of competences applied within the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Sector. This Framework can used and understood by ICT User and Supply Companies, ICT Practitioners, Managers and Human Resources (HR) Departments, the Public Sector, Educational and Social partners across Europe. In order to achieve a consensus and useful results at National Level, the involvement of ICT Sector Players and Stakeholders from Business, Policy Making and Education is crucial and necessary.
